SCHEDULE POSSIBILITIES: Overnight Only (Between 4 pm and 8 am)

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION:
The Security Guard’s primary goal is the identification and prevention of situations that might put the client and others at risk. This position is tasked with providing a visible presence and deterrence and ready to tactfully intervene where appropriate. You may interact with the public, attorneys, law enforcement and members of the judicial and corrections community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Pass an extensive background check and drug screen
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess a valid current Denver Security Guard License
- Must have reliable transportation (an automobile preferred)
- Ability to work in culturally diverse settings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have previous security experience
- Military Veteran
- Prior law enforcement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Verbal de-escalation and requesting assistance to control, subdue, disarm, or apprehend persons threatening disturbances.
- Regulation of the direction and flow of the movements of the public.
- Enforcement of the rules, regulations, and policies related to crime reduction and facility operations.
- The protection against destruction and theft of clients’ property.
- Protecting buildings and grounds (including all contents, occupants, customers, and visitors) by enforcing rules and regulations related to security at the location.
- Being familiar with all relevant special and general orders.
- Assure that people within the assigned location are adhering to the required guidelines set forth by the Client.
- Conducting and reviewing safety inspections of all areas of the location disruptions to the business; mitigating risks that could affect the day-to-day operations of a facility.
- Recording information pertaining to the security of people, products, and vehicles, and reporting this to the security supervisor or, where so designated, the client’s representative.
- Detection, control, and seizure of disallowed items: weapons, drugs, contraband.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Officers must be able to observe, walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretching or drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Ability to run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment. Help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; frequently required to use hands, handle, or feel objects or controls.
TIME COMMITMENT:

SCHEDULE POSSIBILITIES: Day, Night, Weekend, Overnight, On-call
COMPENSATION: $17.00 to $19.00 based on experience
* Positions are on call and may consist of any shift in a 24 hour 7 day a week operation *
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION:
The Security Guard’s primary goal is the identification and prevention of situations that might put the client and others at risk. This position is tasked with providing a visible presence and deterrence and ready to tactfully intervene where appropriate. Flex Guards will work a variety of shifts and assignments. They may be tasked with starting new posts and helping define the needs and requirements of the post. They will fill in for vacations and call-outs as needed. They will receive a priority preference in promotional considerations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Pass an extensive background check and drug screen
- Must have reliable transportation (an automobile preferred)
- Ability to work in culturally diverse settings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have previous security experience
- Military Veteran
- Prior law enforcement
- Denver Security Guard License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Verbal de-escalation and requesting assistance to control, subdue, disarm, or apprehend persons threatening disturbances.
- Regulation of the direction and flow of the movements of the public.
- Enforcement of the rules, regulations, and policies related to crime reduction and facility operations.
- The protection against destruction and theft of clients’ property.
- Protecting buildings and grounds (including all contents, occupants, customers, and visitors) by enforcing rules and regulations related to security at the location.
- Being familiar with all relevant special and general orders.
- Assure that people within the assigned location are adhering to the required guidelines set forth by the Client.
- Conducting and reviewing safety inspections of all areas of the location disruptions to the business; mitigating risks that could affect the day-to-day operations of a facility.
- Recording information pertaining to the security of people, products, and vehicles, and reporting this to the security supervisor or, where so designated, the client’s representative.
- Detection, control, and seizure of disallowed items: weapons, drugs, contraband.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Officers must be able to observe, walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretching or drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Ability to run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment. Help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls.
TIME COMMITMENT:
The start and end dates and hourly commitment of the position are flexible and can be adjusted based on business/ management’s needs.
